Narrower and it slides; wider and it gathers. Every piece here is made to the same dimensions, so how one falls is a question of fibre rather than of cut.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWorn over the shoulders of a fur coat it is the most deliberate thing in the outfit. Over a tailored overcoat it does the opposite, adding a second line at the shoulder and reading as restraint rather than statement. Either way the length is enough to cross at the front and tuck, or to leave open down the coat.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlain shades take a collar, a scarf or a tie beneath them without complication.
