Men’s Wool Sweaters

フィルター

A sweater is made by its fit as much as its fibre. Ours are knitted slim in a wool and cashmere blend, in plain colours, and cut to sit under a jacket without adding width at the shoulder.

Slim through the body, narrow at the sleeve, with a hem that finishes at the hip and stays ther. . .

How to wear men’s wool sweaters

Men's wool sweaters do their best work as the layer nobody comments on. Cut slim, they tuck under a coat or a jacket without bulking at the shoulder, which keeps the outer line clean and means the coat can be lighter than it otherwise would. Worn alone, the round neck sits high enough to take a scarf without crowding it, and the hem is cut to sit over a trouser without riding up through the day. Over a collared shirt, leave the collar out rather than tucked; it is the easier of the two and reads less studied.

Take the size you normally take. The fit is close rather than tight, with the sleeve finishing at the wrist bone. Wash by hand below 30°C in a wool detergent, press the water out rather than wringing it, and dry flat away from direct heat. Fold rather than hang, so the shoulders keep their shape. Looked after that way, men's wool sweaters keep their line and their colour through years of ordinary wear.
