Women’s Merino Wool Scarves

A merino scarf is light enough to keep on indoors and warm enough to leave the house in. Ours is handcrafted from fibres measuring 80 to 100 millimetres and 17 to 19.5 microns, finished at 120 grams in a 250-year-old heritage mill.

How to wear women’s merino wool scarves

Women's merino wool scarves are the ones that stay on. Looped once under a coat collar with one end left long and the other short is the most considered way to wear one — the loop holds without a knot, and the uneven ends keep the line from looking arranged. Worn flat inside a jacket the fabric is fine enough to disappear at the neck, which is where the weight matters: at 120 grams there is nothing to unwind when a room turns warm. For an evening, drape it open down the front and let the colour do the work.

Solid tones through navy, grey and camel are the ones that ask nothing of the outfit. Burgundy, orange and dark green are worth wearing against something plain. Wash by hand below 30°C in a wool detergent, press the water out rather than wringing it, and dry flat away from direct heat. Aired between wears, women's merino wool scarves keep their handle and their colour for years.
