Winter knitwear in a cashmere blend, knitted at a heavier weight than the rest of the collection and cut in classic shapes.
Blending cashmere with wool is what makes a winter jumper both soft against the skin and firm enough to keep its shape. The cashmere gives the surface and the warmth; the wool in it carries the structure through a season of daily wear, so the shoulders hold their line and the cuffs do not go slack by February.
Round neck and V-neck through the jumpers, with cardigans cut to the same line and a fine placket so the front sits flat when it is left open. At this weight a jumper is warm enough to be the only layer under an overcoat, which is the point of making it heavier.
Black, grey, navy and charcoal go under tailoring without being noticed. Camel, cream and beige lift a dark coat. Green and lilac are the ones worth building the rest of the outfit around. For the coldest weeks, add a cashmere or lambswool scarf at the neck.
